Sri Lanka extends the 50% vehicle import surcharge — and the real deadline is 15 November

Gazette 2501/88 extends the surcharge by four and a half months. It is 50% of the duty, not 50% of the car — and the 90-day registration clock costs dealers more than the surcharge does.
